I must say I have a weak spot for mysterious bands without any social media. I haven’t found anything about Love Chemical on the internet but the music speaks for itself and that’s how it should be I think.

They just released their debut album Light Rhythms for Counting Colors and the first track Together Again is a true slowcore/indie gem.

I don’t remember when was the last time when I heard such warm, beautiful vocal melodies. Nowadays many artists are trying to follow the latest trends so most of the indie music sounds pretty similar to me, people are trying to reach a certain vibe so sometimes their ideas are not that interesting.

Here it is all about the ideas, even though the instrumentation is quite plain (which also means no useless showing off). The whole song was probably recorded in someone’s rehearsal space or basement and it has very warm, natural live sound. It feels like a lost record from 1995. Beautiful.
