Songs we love: Conflict at Serenity Pools – Corn Cobs

Sometimes you only see a name of the band (and an album cover) and you feel that what you’re about to hear is not going to disappoint you. And that’s the case with Corn Cobs by LA band Conflict at Serenity Pools.

But the truth is that at first I was like: “Okay, this is quite nice, it’s a pretty regular bedroom pop track, though. Nice production…” And then at around 01:05 the chorus comes in and I was absolutely amazed. Such a catchy, smart tune. The mix of male and female vocals works so well… How come this is not huge? This would deserve thousands of streams on platforms like Spotify. I really hope people won’t sleep on this…

So yeah, there was no other option than to play this track on repeat over and over. Definitely one of the ‘Track of the year’ contestants for me.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
