We already shared here one song by Melodic Canvas a few weeks ago – it was called Death Garden and this track will appear on my Best of 2022 list without a doubt. It’s just absolutely beautiful. But this new song, Invasive Species, is a truly different experience. While the first track sounded like a very atmospheric bedroom pop/slowcore, this one is much closer to bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Grant Lee Buffalo. And I admire this attitude and approach. Why not to combine different genres and styles when you’re able to do it so well?
