Songs we love: Phantom Handshakes – Come Undone

If you’re a lo-fi/dream pop fan, you’ve probably already heard about a New York duo Phantom Handshakes. They have history with a quite renowned bedroom pop label Z Tapes and they’ve been appearing in Spotify editorial playlists for a while as well (if you check these regularly out as I do:).

Their lo-fi/dream pop has always sounded very fresh to me, even though instrumentally it’s sort of a safe bedroom/dream pop, Federica Tassano’s voice elevates the music to another level. Especially on this new track, Come Undone, the vocals are stunning, I like the colour, emotion, urgency… I also love the way the vocals are mixed so they really shine. Really wish I could hear this track live someday!
