Grocer is a band from South Philly. In their bio, they write that they’re “a group that loves a good melody” and they’re absolutely right about that. On Out of Sight, a track from their new record Numbers Game, the vocal melodies play the most important part: they’re catchy, they’re smart and they feel very original. I was trying to think of an artist that would remind me of their work, but nothing really came to my mind, it’s really unique!
The production also feels very natural and Grocer manages to capture the energy of a live band very well.
My most favorite part of the song: that sweet bedroom pop moment at around 1:50 with female backvocals.
The result: after some time another 5-star track!
