Klara Keller is a Swedish singer-songwriter, she’s released several succesful singles since 2020 (in her mother language) and if I’m not mistaken, Sad Thinking of You is her first English song. And the transformation from Swedish to English couldn’t end up any better because the single is highly entertaining and addictive. The playful instrumentation catches your attention right away and Keller’s sort of bratty expression feels very unique and amusing. I would be surprised if she didn’t break through because even though her music might sound familiar for bedroom indie music fans, at the same time it’s really something else in this indie bedroom pop genre; a breath of fresh air. If I have to pick one artist that she reminds me of, it would be probably my fav Finnish singer-songwriter Litku Klemetti. And I wish Keller similar success!
(The video is also really well-made, I have a soft spot for videos of poor quality but with a lot of soul. ♥)
