Wandering Years is the recording project of Brooklyn musician Gene Stroman. Cut My Hair is a song off his latest album Pocket Songs. And it’s truly beautiful! For some reason, Stroman’s music reminds me of Georgia southern rock band Drive-by Truckers – that might be a bit strange because their music is not that similar – but for me both Wandering Years and Drive-by Truckers share these late summer melancholic vibes, that really make you hit the road and drive aimlessly… I also ove how melodic the song is, the production fits this type of music really well, too. Definitely gotta check the rest of the album!
My favorite part: I love the vocals, but that 1:20-1:40 is absolutely fantastic.
