Blue Cove is a dream pop/indie duo from Chicago, IL, we already covered here on Motel Void their fantastic song Here You Come. The band consists of musicians and partners Stephanie Nikolas (singer and songwriter) and Eric Breden (instrumentation and production). Thrive is very similar to Here You Come in terms of quality, it also has very ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere, but at the same time it’s full of energy. It feels like something between My Bloody Valentine (Not that loud and hazy, but with quite the similar vibe) and Slowdive (not the same vibe, but similar catchiness and dream pop straightforwardness). I haven’t seen Blue Cove live, but I believe it must be a truly amazing experience.
My favorite part: definitely 2:40-3:00, I enjoyed the wildness the most!
