I grew up listening to John Frusciante’s music and one of the first songs I really fell in love with (when I was like 12 years old) was Murderers from his To Record Only Water for Ten Day record. I think that the endless listening of his tracks influenced me for years to come, and so when I hear a similar interesting instrumental song, I think of the carefree, teen years 10-15 years ago when we spent time with my friends driving around town on bikes, blasting songs like Murderers… and 09-06 by For Your Ears Only really took me back in time, so thank you for that. I love that the song is not about some ‘guitar masturbation’, but it’s more like a fleeting moment that you try to keep in your memory… this track would definitely fit to a soundtrack to an independent road movie.
