Unfortunately, due to covid-19 complications, I have not been able to write many new articles in past weeks:( So these ones will be a bit shorter than usual… then I will take a break for about a month and I will come back at the end of September!:)
SILVER LIZ – MISSING THE PARTY
🧡 the vocal! I’m absolutely in love with it, the beginning is so soothing and fragile and then it turns into this poignant, almost extreme performance… I loved this transition!
💚 the video reminded me of A. G. Cook, fantastic psychedelic digital ride!:)
💙 that break in the middle is just brilliant and what comes next… wow, really dig their experimental style.
COUCHBOY – BLUE TOMORROW
🧡 this had very nice 90s feeling, think of tame version of Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and guided by voices… rough, natural production, great vocals…
💚 …even the video had nice retro and kind of weird vibe, it suits the song so well!
💙 the songs is super melodic, I would love to hear tracks like this one on the radio again!
CHUCK 2 – KEEP DREAMING
🧡 we recommended here songs by Chuck 2 before, and honestly I’m surprised their debut album How You Landed Here didn’t get more attention, they would definitely deserve it. This is a perfect indie lo-fi album…
💚 though I admire the vocals on this album the most, I must also mention the instrumental part here which sounds pretty unique, raw and nicely monotonous (that’s not a negative thing for me, at least not in this song:))…
💙 the vocal… Pedro Lion vibes strike again. I just love the way they work with their voice, could listen to it on repeat for days…
