A native of suburban Pennsylvania, Quinn Devlin grew up on records such as London Calling, Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ, and Tapestry. He moved to NYC in 2012 to attend Columbia University. As a multi-instrumentalist, Quinn has supported the likes of Aisha Badru, Alex Lleo, JW Francis, vern matz, Sarah Cicero, Freakquencee, and Jacqueline Hackett, among others on record and/or on stage.
The thing that I admire the most about Gracie Lake is definitely its production; warm, natural, rich. And also the instrumentation, calm piano tones, various percussions… it’s a beautiful little music world. The atmosphere is very intriguing as well and reminds me of Quinn Devlin’s favorite musicians like Buck Meek (Big Thief) and Canadian magician Andy Shauf.
(And that album cover is very cute))
