REVIEW: LEOBLU & WORLD WILD WEB – UTOPIA

My interview with Leoblu from the Åland Islands remains one of my favorites, and I’m thrilled to see her continue to release such captivating work like her new single “Utopia”. This time, she’s teamed up with French producer World Wild Web, and together, the Berlin-based artists have crafted a perfect soundtrack for nighttime city strolls.

I’m drawn to the track’s cool, distant production style and Leoblu’s ethereal vocals, which explore themes of grief, defiance, and hope. The song’s DIY-style, atmospheric music video leans heavily into black and purple-pink hues, adding a striking visual layer to the listening experience.

One of my favorite moments is the bridge before the final chorus, where Leoblu introduces a rap-like cadence that, along with the video, reminds me of Lil Peep—one of my favorites.

Overall, it’s an impressive work, full of atmosphere and sharp production.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
