Some time ago, I had the chance to interview Berlin-based musician Leoblu (which is the moniker of Julia Carlsson). Now, the artist and producer, originally from the Åland Islands, returns with her new single, livingroomfloor.

The track starts subtly, drawing the listener in with its understated atmosphere. Then, around the 45-second mark, an emotional and irresistibly catchy chorus kicks in – grabbing you instantly and refusing to let go. The verses maintain a rap-infused trip-hop vibe, seamlessly flowing into the haunting, powerful refrains.

Accompanying the song is a simple yet mesmerizing music video, visually tied to the colors of the single’s artwork, adding to its hypnotic appeal.

I’ve heard a lot of material from Leoblu before, but this is my personal favorite. It’s the kind of song that will stay on repeat for a long time.
