REVIEW: AVA MCCOY – DRAGONFLY

Dragonfly is the new single by Ava McCoy, inviting listeners into its dreamy and introspective world.

The track starts with an almost laid-back atmosphere, flowing gently and effortlessly. However, as it progresses, the vocals shift into a more melancholic tone, adding depth and emotional weight. Still, Dragonfly feels more like a free-flowing stream of emotions rather than a traditionally structured song.

The single is taken from the eponymous album Dragonfly, set for release at the end of May under Acrophase Records. This marks Ava McCoy’s second studio album.

A standout element is the accompanying music video, which captivates with its collage-like aesthetic. Fragments of old books, the faded patina of analog film, and an array of historical images blend seamlessly, creating a carefully composed visual piece that feels like a poetic reminiscence of the past.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
