Slowscript is a solo shoegaze project inspired by bands like salt+ and bloodpact. Slowscript writes, performs, and produces everything themselves, with a clear focus on dense, layered guitars, a heavy and immersive atmosphere, and emotionally charged textures that exist somewhere between noise and melody.

Slowscript creates the kind of shoegaze that sits very close to my own listening taste – uncompromising and massive in sound, with raw, abrasive flashes that recall the stark intensity of Have a Nice Life, the heavier moments of Smashing Pumpkins, or some of my favorite work by Sadness and abriction.

There’s a distinctly rough, unpolished patina to the music that I find far more engaging than overly clean or glossy shoegaze. All of this is tied together by a buried, hazy vocal that feels perfectly placed, adding to the sense of distance and emotional weight. Altogether, Slowscript emerges as a genuinely compelling project and a name well worth following!
