BEST NEW TRACKS: CASHA MOUR – THIRTEEN

Casha Mour is, at least to me, a previously unknown and somewhat enigmatic project from the UK. That said, the track Thirteen completely drew me in. From a production standpoint, it’s a beautifully crafted, organic-sounding lo-fi piece with a subtle slowcore edge. Beyond the instrumentation, what really stands out is the vocal – distinctive and full of character, further shaped by a prominent effect that gives Thirteen a slightly eerie, otherworldly quality.

Casha Mour has been making music since 2019, with a clear fascination for ambient textures, lo-fi aesthetics, and experimental electronics. On this track, especially the first two elements come through strongly – and it’s fair to say he truly excels at them. With Thirteen, he manages to build a deeply immersive and evocative world. It’s a space I’m more than happy to return to, and I’m genuinely looking forward to hearing what he does next!
