I don’t cover much Dutch music on the blog, which feels like a real shame after hearing see you soon. The new single Molly by this rather mysterious project (I couldn’t find much about them on social media) is a true slowcore gem.
The warm lo-fi production will immediately appeal to fans of the genre, but what stands out even more is the soft, slightly veiled yet melodic vocal, reminiscent of earlier records by Alex G or Fog Lake. On top of that, there’s a catchy, almost “childlike” melody that gently carries the song forward – everything feels hazy and understated, yet beautifully constructed. I’m really looking forward to hearing more!
