Plush Crush are a dream pop band from Southwest Chicago. The trio consists of Scotty on vocals and rhythm guitar, Giselle on bass, and Jesseliy on lead guitar. Their music blends atmospheric guitar textures, soft and intimate vocals, lo-fi beats, and an undercurrent of gentle melancholy.
In many ways, Plush Crush feel like a modern response to classic shoegaze and dream pop – embracing the haze and emotion of those genres while shaping them through a contemporary lens. So far, the band has released four singles.
Their latest track, South Side, matches the mood suggested by its cover artwork: hazy, fluid, and steeped in nostalgia. The song unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing the layered guitars and subtle rhythms to create a warm, enveloping soundscape. Rather than relying on dramatic shifts, it leans into feeling – capturing that late-evening glow that lingers long after the final note fades.
