BEST NEW TRACKS: NO FLOOR – LOOP

No Floor is a post-shoegaze four-piece from Seattle, Washington. I have a soft spot for Seattle, having lived and worked there for a short time; going to local shows was one of my favorite pastimes. Naturally, I’m curious to hear what the scene sounds like these days.

The single Loop is built around a slightly peculiar – and therefore all the more memorable – riff that flickers throughout the track. The song keeps evolving, surging forward with bursts of energy before pulling back into quieter moments, all carried by a melodic vocal line hovering above. The finale feels genuinely epic and highlights just how musically tight the band is. This is the kind of shoegaze that, in my view, has real potential to reach a fairly wide audience – so I’m rooting for them to break through!
