Having spent 2025 releasing three highly successful singles and touring across Ireland – including festival appearances at GazeFest supporting Whitelands and Sweet Sweet Noise – Silk returned with their single Clementine, which we already praised here.
Now they’re back with a new track Auralux taken from their upcoming mini-album, set to be released in May via Blowtorch Records (IRE, vinyl) and Shoredive Records (UK, CD).
Auralux is a pure, heartfelt shoegaze cut that feels like it’s been lifted straight from the very best of the ’90s – think Slowdive or Ride at their most immersive. I’m especially drawn to the memorable guitar riff weaving its way through the song, as well as the lush, well-balanced production. Rising above it all, though, is a truly beautiful, soothing vocal performance – deeply dreamy, perfectly placed in the mix, and irresistibly melodic.
This is a genuine shoegaze gem!
