I have been a longtime Built to Spill fan and I hear very similar energy and vibe (especially in the catchy choruses) in a new track by Leon in the Wild. On Track Shoes, his voice carries the similar type of emotion that I can hear in Doug Martsch’s hits like Car and Liar.
It is Leon’s third released track, he debuted in 2020 with two singles and this is a very nice comeback, I hope he will release his debut album anytime soon.
I must also praise the single’s cover that has very nostalgic and summery vibe and fits the music so well.
