Stevie Zita is one of the most interesting bedroom pop names on current music scene. His new single Lucid starts as a classic bedroom pop track, with significant synth melodies. But what makes this track that interesting for me is the chorus. I really love the way Zita works with his voice, he’s able to come up with very memorable hook, which is supercatchy but at the same time carries very melancholic and nostalgic emotions. And that’s sometimes hard to find in this genre. Most of the current bedroom pop production is mostly about the vibe, and while this song has a perfect bedroom pop vibe, it also has very strong ideas and that’s what I appreciate!
