ATMOS BLOOM – CLOSER

As the band puts it, “atmos bloom’s ‘Closer’ plays into the hazy, half-lucid magic of the band’s formula. It’s a track about finding peace within while acknowledging that past versions of yourself no longer remain.”

I have to say that atmos bloom has been one of my long-time favourites on this platform, and with every new release they somehow manage to hit my musical sweet spot. Their sound feels incredibly refined and instantly recognizable at this point. Closer especially reminded me of touring Japan with my own band – traveling from city to city, watching landscapes drift by through the train windows. It captures that same bittersweet, dreamlike sense of movement and quiet reflection.

CAMBRE – SHOULDER

Cambre is an indie bedroom artist based outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, writing and producing music under the same name. The production is intentionally raw and gritty, bringing to mind the earliest Alex G recordings, which gives the track a great deal of charm. At the same time, Cambre has a remarkable ear for melody, something that’s immediately apparent on Shoulder. It’s a relatively simple song built around an irresistibly catchy hook, but the arrangement constantly evolves as instruments quietly drop out and re-enter, keeping everything engaging. By the end, the track blossoms into something much fuller and more cinematic. A genuinely lovely listen.

MOON-LI 历 – FIGURES FROM ANOTHER TIME

moon-li 历 is an independent French shoegaze band whose debut album, figures from another time, released in June 2026, inhabits the space between ambient rock, noise, and shoegaze while embracing a distinctly DIY, lo-fi aesthetic. The title track is accompanied by a beautifully dark music video that evokes classic arthouse cinema. Sonically, figures from another time thrives on its meticulously crafted production and towering walls of guitars. The riffs sound huge, dense, and utterly convincing, while the hazy vocals add another layer of dreamlike atmosphere. Everything comes together effortlessly, making for a stunning shoegaze experience.
