MOTEL VOID: You write and produce music for other artists as your job. Are you able to mention which artists you’ve worked with, or is that information ‘secret’?

STINKUS: Not a secret at all! I work with a ton of artists. Some notable ones would be BEL, Jon Bryant, Salem Ilese, Smallpools, WILD, girlhouse, The Mowgli’s, Mackenzie Day, Casey Dubie, Wilby, Susannah Joffe, Ocean Leclair, Dana Williams. Tons more but this is what came to mind!

MOTEL VOID: What are your favorite local venues and artists?

STINKUS: Well I live in LA so local is kinda different here since no ones from here but my favorite venue here is probably The terragram or permanent records, always a great time there. My favorite band of all time is Sigur Ros and I know Jonsi lives here so does that count?

MOTEL VOID: Congratulations on the release of your new single, “Falling In Love”! Will it be part of your upcoming album? Can you tell us more about the writing and recording process for this song?

STINKUS: Falling in Love will most likely be a part of my next album. I’m just about to dive into the writing and recording process on the album but I made 4 songs in the meantime that I’ll be releasing over the next few months and then hopefully the album at the end of 2024.

MOTEL VOID: Earlier this year, you released your debut album “23”. How satisfied are you with the reception it has received?

STINKUS: Honestly I had no expectations because I know I’m new and don’t expect to be heard or found right away, but I loved making the album and can’t wait to do another. Hopefully people find their way to my music sometime!

MOTEL VOID: You also play in the bands WILD, girlhouse, and Iso. Do you have any upcoming plans or projects with these bands?

STINKUS: WILD is releasing a song a month for the next year and a half so we have lots of new, exciting stuff coming! Iso is on the back burner at the moment as I work on the Stinkus album. and I’m no longer involved with girlhouse since my ex and I split up so I’m not sure what their plans are going forward but it won’t involve me!
