A few years ago I spent a wonderful working summer in Seattle, which left me with a soft spot for performers from this vibrant part of the world. Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing Naked Giants, an indie rock band from the Emerald City. I’m excited to share that they’re releasing a great new single called Bad Guys Win.
Bad Guys Win is a downbeat track featuring a simple yet hard-hitting and catchy chorus. The verses are particularly engaging, reminiscent of the sound I love from Car Seat Headrest, with their distinctive, relaxed vocals and laid-back guitar riffs.
The music video deserves a special mention as well. Bathed in blue hues, it is visually striking and left a lasting impression on me.
I’m hopeful that I will have an opportunity to see Naked Giants perform live in the near future—perhaps at Barboza or another great Seattle venue ))
